The meeting of Christian and Jean-Claude as spectators at the “Jazz Parade 2005” in Fribourg, Switzerland, as well as the latter's long-standing friendship with Sophie, led to the creation of the group in September 2005. Rehearsing since that year at the “Jardin du Covy” where Jean-Claude resides, the group naturally took the name “Covy's Garden”. This name also evokes a “musical garden” that represents the ballads and other great songs in its directory.
In July 2007, Covy's Garden was able to achieve its first objective: play on the main stage of the Jazz Parade in Fribourg with a set of mainly English covers. Since 2012, the group has also been composing (music and texts in French). A few songs came out of it that the band is very proud of.
For a long time composed of 5 people, the group now plays in trio and provides various high-quality performances, mainly for concerts or private parties.
