The Swiss band CRASHTIME celebrates classic power metal. Their powerful and energetic sound comprises every facet of the 80ies’ and 90ies’ and combines it with modern influences. Two-voiced guitar riffs are accompanied by massive bass lines and driving drums. Distinctive riffs and melodic voice lines incite the audience to sing along. The vocals with expressive vibrato cover all aspects from lyrical to rough styles. Finally, the diverse song writing and lyrics – which are designed as to enable the listener to project his own feelings and thoughts into the songs – round the overall picture.
Expressively, energetic and having their finger on the pulse of time, CRASHTIME manage to provide a powerful sound live on stage.
In 2007 the band CRASHTIME was formed. Three of today’s active members, who together already rocked the stage as teenagers, met at an event when they decided to make a comeback.
In 2011 they released a self-titled EP which amongst other things was featured on Radio32’s show Rock it! The album contained cover versions of popular songs from different genres as well as a couple of their own compositions. Over the course of the following years they played numerous concerts in Switzerland and lately also in Germany.
In 2017 they have released their second EP Today’s World for 10-year anniversary which only features their own songs. This time around, instead of producing the EP themselves, they turned to the experienced Peakville Studios in Wangen bei Olten, SO to help deliver an even better sound. Thanks to them, CRASHTIME’s newest songs were produced in a powerful and timely manner which underlines the further development of CRASHTIME.
For first time video shooting, in 2019 CRASHTIME descended to the catacombs and released their first official video clip «Today’s World». It connects history of the middle ages with modern times. In the face of today’s headlines, some text passages like „history repeats itself“ or „democratic dictators“ are keeping with the mood. The video clip was produced by Hideo Usuda „Skullrecords“ and underlines the ambitions of CRASHTIME to made a name for themselves in Swiss Metal Scene.
The Today’s World EP is available in our online shop and the songs can be downloaded at nearly every download platform.
