Deep Fried Galaxy create Indie music in the 21st century. Dino’s galactic synths, Johnny’s fried basslines and Lisa’s deep lyrics make dreamers’ hearts beat faster.
The trio returns in 2025 with Solstice 1, the first of two new EPs, due for release on June 20 2025. Since the release of their debut EP Gardens Of My Mind in 2022, Deep Fried Galaxy have played their way across German-speaking Switzerland and into the physical and digital collections of indie lovers. In 2023 their single Virgo was featured in the m4Music Demotape Clinics selection in the category Pop.
For their new music, the three have leaned into and refined their signature sound; the opulent arrangements hide no drama, instrumental closing bouquets and breakdowns are indispensable, the guitars are dreamy, the basses crisp, the synths focal, the voice full of emotion.
Deep Fried Galaxy have never been able to commit to a single genre, and so the new songs also explore a variety of musical inspirations and niches. Through a deep mutual trust and an openness to everything, the three manage to incorporate every reference they are drawn to, whether it be dream- and synthpop, shoegaze, dark electronica or trip-hop. One thing remains constant: An aesthetic sensitivity for striking a cord.
