I am Dwight, an artist and music producer from the Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. My life has always been a mix of science and music, two worlds I love and try to blend together every day. I hold a degree in physics from ETH Zurich, but despite my interest in the academic world, I have never given up my immense passion for music: eyes on the sky, always with earphones plugged in.
I took my first steps into rap at the age of 14. In 2016, I founded the group Detach with two friends from Ticino, Oracolo Ubriaco and Roki Tanos. On April 15 of the same year, we released Detach EP, our first amateur project. A year later, on April 17, 2017, I released my first official album, In estinzione. This project was professionally produced and distributed on all digital platforms, with the support of the Detach group and Spanish artist JavZ. The album explores climate change and its future consequences, emphasizing the urgency of a collective reflection on the planet's future. Later that year, I also released Elon Musk, a single created in collaboration with Ticinese artist Nico N&P.
In 2021, I had the opportunity to open for the group Sgaffy in Zurich, a fantastic experience I shared with my friend Oracolo Ubriaco. In 2022, I returned with Bachelor, a single released while I was completing my degree. That year, on August 25, I also released Exchange, an English track inspired by my study experience in Norway. In 2023, my passion for DJing took over, and I released a deep house reinterpretation of Forza, a song by Grison singer Mattiu.
On November 21, 2024, I released my second album, Master, a project that encapsulates my entire journey of personal and artistic growth during my university years. The album includes significant collaborations, such as GiBi and the fantastic voice of Juls, who brought beautiful depth to some tracks.
And now? Perhaps a new chapter titled PhD?
