ecyce plays shoegaze with influences from post-rock, emo, and punk. Hard riffs, thunderous drums, lots of feedback, and reverb-soaked guitar leads meet vocals that flow smoothly from spoken passages to screams. The lyrics vary in their degree of seriousness. Humor must be present, but vulnerable honesty is also allowed. As is so often the case, it's all about balance.
The band is made up of musicians who are already active on the Swiss scene: Aurelia Kapfer (Blanche Biau), Josip Tijan (THYMIAN), Yancey Aguilar (Sun Dera), Elio Monn (Hydrophobics), and Darius Talaat (Superdark). They are essentially the least known supergroup from Zurich.
