enzio101 is a music project by Mark L., that doesn't aspire to meet the standards and perfection of the professional music industry. Instead, the focus is on the overall creative process and the joy of creating – from composition and lyrics to mixing and mastering, everything is done by him. Part of the comprehensive concept is that Mark designs the songcover artwork himself.
The roots of his artistic work stretch back several decades. From a young age, his fascination with new technological possibilities sparked a passion for creating his own music. Even then, his artistic work was complemented by his own visual art. His first compositions were created on simple computer systems like the C64 and the Amiga 500, along with countless paintings on paper, cardboard, and canvas. The following years of his youth were characterized by a spirit of experimentation and collaboration in various groups, but also by difficult times. His best friend, with whom he created many compositions and artwork, succumbed to hard drugs in the 1990s and, after a long period of suffering, died far too young. Despite this, Mark continued working with unwavering determination in his own style. In 2001, this period culminated in the initiation of the band project 2nd Priority. As a co-founder, Mark shaped the band as a composer, lyricist, and singer for over 24 years. In 2023, together with one of his two bandmates, he succeeded in bringing the project to the stage for the first time after a long period of exclusively studio work. Several concerts followed with the original trio before Mark left the band at the end of 2025.
With enzio101, he now returns to his musical roots and continues his creative journey on his own. His song "where our names once stood" tells a story carried by electronic beats. As before, the lyrics and their creative interpretation are central. Pulsating beats and modulating bass add further expressiveness to the song.
