Ernesto Cortazar born in Mexico city and began to play guitar at the age of ten. He is mainly a self taught guitarist. With fourteen he studied three years at the conservatory of Mexico. He was in New York for a couple of years and studied with some of the most great players there: { Kurt Rosenwinkel,Wayne Krantz,Christopher Rosenberg, Rodney Jones Etc Ernesto has played with a lot of the most listened singers of mexico. In 1994-1997 he toured with Ricky Martin and Thalia also he shared stage with Carlos Santana. Ernesto is an incredible guitar player. He is one of the few guitar players which can combine a great virtuosity with deep feelings. His improvisations have an exceptional creativity and musical flow.
