Mourituri te saltutant
„Those who are about to die salute you“ is the sarcastic core message of the music played by FANOE. The bands central theme is (although sometimes ironic) the fear, drive and abyss of humankind and is amused by the sometimes shocked reactions of the so called innocents. However, FANOE is of the opinion that life is often taken much to seriously considering the fact that none of us is getting out alive.
FANOE was formed in 2005 by Klaus Fanoe (voc/guit). The main members of the band are Diana Perola (bass), Ari Rossi (guit) and Marco Trachsel (dr). The rather uncommon band name (pronounced: FAN-O-E) is the Danish surname of Klaus Fanoe, wo writes and produces the music.
Full Speed Ahead
The new album FULL SPEED AHEAD begins where the previous album Down to Heaven ended. The new sound is rougher and is dominated by analogue synthesizers and guitars accompanied by blurred singing.
The album was mastered by Enrico Mercaldi in Time Tools Studio Hannover (i. e. Depeche Mode, Placebo, Moby). FANOE once again managed to create a self-contained and authentic album which isn’t influenced by one hype or another and is still exciting to hear after several times thanks to displaying finesse and sound-pearls.
The title FULL SPEAD AHEAD is once again a sign that the band is going its own independent way far from compromises and doesn’t give a damn about the main Record companies’ refusal to invest in less commercial music. FANOE is going the guerilla way as they have always done to lay the base for an international tour.
The video clip for the title song FULL SPEED AHEAD was produced by the creative minds from London, Paul Denton and Filip Krnja (release date june 2010). The splendid quality and the artistic realization of the clip once again shows that even with a small budget innovative and lush art can be created.

Highlights
Nach 3 Jahren kann FANOE bereits auf beachtliche Erfolge zurückblicken. Ihr erstes Konzert spielten die Newcomer 2005 gleich vor 2000 Besuchern im Vorprogramm von The Sisters Of Mercy (uk). Danach folgten Konzerte in den angesagtesten Clubs in der Schweiz (X-Tra, Alte Börse, Mascotte, Volkashaus ZH, Abart, Z-7, Kiff, Mokka u.A.) und 2006 trat FANOE auch am international bekannten Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig auf. FANOE spielte neben The Sisters Of Mercy auch als Support von Deftones (usa), Dir En Grey (JP), Letzte Instanz (DE), Projekt Pitchfork (DE).
