Roman Farmerman Simon, also known as Farmerman, is a Swiss reggae artist from Olten. His music carries roots, gratitude, love and positive energy — for the beautiful people who believe in patience, heart and walking through life step by step.
Born in 1973 in Olten, Switzerland, Roman Farmerman Simon grew up surrounded by music. From an early age, he was inspired by family members playing different instruments and singing in many styles — a foundation that shaped his voice, his rhythm and his deep love for music.
From the age of 20, Roman became active in reggae bands such as Natural Vibes and Caly Warriors, playing drums, bass, guitar and keyboard/piano. In 2013, he formed the Movementality Band, creating original songs and supporting artists from the African and Caribbean music scene. In 2019, Roman began recording his own songs at Black Energy Studio in Bern, Switzerland, together with Black Thunder. This became an important starting point for bringing his own Farmerman songs and message into the world. During this time, songs such as “Babylon Red,” “Calling All Farmermen,” “Birds Of A Feather” and “Thank You (Sweet Queen For Your Love)” were created — songs shaped by rebellion, love, soul and a positive vision for the world. Under the name Farmerman, Roman carries a message of roots reggae, positive energy, gratitude and heart. His songs speak to the beautiful people — to those who believe in love, patience, faith and walking through life step by step.
