Fastheaven is a folk/pop/rock band from Fribourg, Switzerland, and creates a unique, intimate sound with their instruments and harmonies, which are complemented by thoughtful and emotional, down-to-earth songwriting.
We are happy to introduce our new song, June 99: If we turn the clock back about 25 years and go on a imaginary journey through time, certain memories and personal milestones get caught in the sieve of time....many good ones, but also some not so good ones and mistakes that you may have learned from, events that occurred that you could not influence... faces or places that for some reason you have not forgotten.... Words, too much or too little said.... missed opportunities....Then at some point the time comes to tidy up, to create order, to set priorities, to throw off ballast after the storms of life....and in the end the realization remains that you really only have one thing and should make the best of it, like the pelican on the pier: the present moment. And in the book of life there are still many blank pages waiting to be filled...
The founding members are Patrick McCarthy and Fred Chappuis, featuring in most of the songs also Megan Carpenter. Patrick McCarthy is a singer/songwriter/keyboard player who has been composing songs for the past 20 years and grew up in Fribourg Switzerland.
Fred Chappuis is above all an experienced drummer and sound engineer, but this Swiss musician also plays almost every other instrument.
Lead guitars are being played by Pierre Angeloz, bass guitarist on all songs is Nicolas Gachoud and on keyboards on many songs is Valentin Molliet. All four musicians are also from Fribourg.
The single "Big Satellite" is also internationally successful and is featured in the playlist rotation of several radios (RNV Vaudois, Switzerland, Radio Fil de l'Eau - France, Radio Mach 5 - Italie, Alex Berlin 91.0 FM - Germany, Equinoxe FM - Belgium, ONS Radio Curaçao - Island in the Southern Caribbean Sea among others).
