In spite of their English name, Fatmornings compose in French as well as in English, when not mixed. The 6 musicians are originated from the French speaking part of Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne, Sion) and France (Paris).
They are around 30 years old.
According to its name, Fatmornings play around with words in these two tongues. It is sometimes easier to “tell” in a foreign language. To start, they
play with the name of the band, which means – literally translated from French, “to sleep in”.
The source of inspiration of Fatmornings is to be found somewhere between the poetic world of the French song writer Alain Baschung, the pop
electroacoustic ballades of Crowded House and the songs of the French pop singer De Palmas.
The arrangements stroll in the wide musical space existing at the conjunction of these three artistic universes.
In its compositions, Fatmornings tries to find the balance between explorating lyrics, easy to keep in mind melodies and changing atmospheres according
the approached places, girls and themes.
