Fiona Fiasco, born in the Swiss Alps, grew up speaking the Romansh language local to the valleys of the Grisons. A childhood spent in nature today reflects in her music: playful, cinematic, evoking misty mountain villages. Through Romansh folk songs and regional radio, she discovered her love for music and songwriting, mostly through looking back in time.
During her SoundArt-Studies at the University of Bern Academy of the Arts, Fiasco gained a more artistic and performative approach to music. Combing through different art disciplines and writing practices, she discovered a new path for herself. Out came a collection of deeply evocative songs, now assembled to her debut solo EP “Blue Rider, Blue Faced”, that will be released in early 2026. Produced alongside two members of the band Soft Loft and mixed by Sam Evian, we await these first songs with much anticipation.
