Florian Zumkehr is an artist with many facets. As a professional acrobat and performer, he has appeared on international stages over 3,000 times – from renowned theaters in Europe to Broadway in New York. But besides movement, it is above all music that drives and moves him. With his EP “10 Steps,” Zumkehr introduced himself as a singer-songwriter in 2020, creating a very personal, sensitive soundscape. His songs—sometimes in dialect, sometimes in English—tell of longing, new beginnings, and the search for balance between light and shadow. He has been featured on the SRF 3 program “PunktCH” and as the opening act for Nickless and Nicole Bernegger. Florian Zumkehr now performs live in a trio setup – together with his long-time friend Philipp Gut on guitar and Leonard Wehinger, known by his stage name Leonard Mavi, on keys. Gut, who normally tours as a drummer for acts such as Sam Himself and the Lovebugs, provides a warm, organic foundation with his delicate guitar sounds and rhythmic sensibility. Wehinger complements the soundscape with atmospheric keyboard sounds and subtle harmonies that lend the songs additional depth and breadth. Together, the three musicians create an intimate yet powerful atmosphere – somewhere between melancholic indie pop and dialect singer-songwriter sound. The result is a concert full of emotion, honesty, and musical lightness that lingers long after it's over.
