Born in the former DDR, she founded her first band at the age of 13
as a guitarist in a school band. More than eleven years ago, she swapped bustling Berlin for the clear
light of Zurich – a step that went far beyond a simple change of location.
In her new surroundings, she rediscovered her connection to
her own creativity, to her very own personal sound. Words have
been her most important tool ever since, directness her trademark. But
both require a certain elegance that prevents the hard
edges from catching the eye – and instead hits where art has its
deepest effect: right under the skin.
When asked, “Why FLUR?” she says:
"Actually, I wanted to write songs for others. In my drawer, there are
songs for Pink, Rosa Linn, Nina Chuba, Clueso, and SDP, among others – but the doors to them
are still closed for now. So for the time being, I'm staying in the hallway and singing in
my native language about what I observe, experience, and want to get out of me
– and that's not a small amount.
I searched for a long time for the right producer for this project and found the one who suits me in Thomas Fessler.
