Biography

There is no below. There is no above. Everything is constructed. Frag Nicht ride on the wave of the 80s and give New Wave a new face.
Frida Insel sings about the ups and downs of world life with German lyrics - blunt and trashy.
The sound is neon - the guitar with a synthetic effect - the bass impetuous - the drum swirls analog, digital.
The four musicians form the band Frag Nicht in 2019 in the city of Art, Basel. In 2019 they release their first video "Konstruiert". In spring, the second video "Eisberg" is released . A earth song in which the band draws attention to global warming. As part of the Teppich Sound Festival, Frag Nicht create an unplugged and rock the streets with their music. In September 2020 the band celebrates their EP Eisberg?! at the Kaschemme in Basel. Because of Corona there is no live music, instead the band presents a powerful art installation with a video premiere of "Weniger ist mehr".
2021 starts with a great surprise! The band submits their art installation "Polar Bear in the Box" to SRF Kulturplatz and wins! Hanna Scheuring, Pedro Lenz and Fanni Fetzer nominated the installation (Rube Goldberg Maschine) as the winning project. With the prize the four musicians travel to Dornbirn (AT) and record "Trag Mich" and "Held" in the Nautilus studio.
After that they rock the stage again. 2024 is the year of releases! Meise - a punk chanson is released in spring. In autumn the song "Trag Mich" follows, a groovy love song . For the New Year they release a punk rock song "Scheissegal"! We rock! You rock! Peace!
