Coming from a classical music background, Fred Burdey graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatorium and worked as a freelance tenor for several years, taking part in various operas all over Europe.
‘Can We Dance’ marks his debut into pop, and his first album is currently in preparation.
Fred Burdey’s sound is inspired by many different music genres, from opera and Gershwin at it’s roots, to Britney Spears, Goldfrapp and experimental electronic music.
This eclectic mix gives Fred Burdey’s music a fresh new sound, combining electronic grooves and melodic hooks with a pure vocal clarity and operatic presence.
