At the beginning of 2023, French Fuego released the "Trouble" EP. The musician from St. Gallen, with roots in the distant French Polynesia, launches his first solo project with this EP. Previously, Hiro Gähwiler has played in several bands, written and performed songs. With "Kolours," an instrumental band with complex, epic sounds, or the punk rock band "The Skrufs," the native St. Gallen musician has gained a lot of experience.
The four songs on the EP come straight from the artist's heart and are spontaneous, honest, fresh, and shine with their simplicity. Authentic guitar music that is not often encountered these days. The vocals were deliberately taken out of the spotlight, instead allowing guitar sounds to take center stage. However, you can find lyrical gems that address themes such as friendship and society. The EP is spiced with a touch of humor and self-irony, showing that sometimes it is better to let go.
French Fuego recorded and mixed his EP at Woogiehouse with the help of Roger Gahler. Ramon Wehrle from the band "Catalyst" played the drums.
