Producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist – these are the roles McGee effortlessly embodies.
After several projects and a few singles, he decided to reinvent himself in 2021 by changing his stage name.
That’s when Funky McGee was born.
Since then, he has produced numerous projects for other artists, including JaDior, Nore6l, Zecca, These Guys, and Caramilk.
In June 2023, he released his first solo project under the Funky McGee name: BLITZ —
a record entirely arranged, written, and performed by himself.
He followed it up with a sold-out concert at Salle du Terreau to premiere the project live, along with a few dates in Geneva to introduce it to a wider audience.
He kicked off 2025 with the release of STATU QUO, a six-track EP once again fully composed and performed by him.
The project tells a tragic love story, set against the backdrop of vintage French film soundtracks and poetry.
He presented it live at the Groove venue in Geneva, during an immersive release party lasting over 2.5 hours, joined on stage by several longtime collaborators from his artistic circle.
Wasting no time, he returns at the end of June with a new six-track release, MAUVAISE FOI, once again entirely self-directed.
This time, he tackles social and philosophical themes, infused with a distinct touch of cynicism.
