GLB - Jesus, Marcus Aurelius and Ambros make up the group GLB. In 2014, their debut album "Change" was released and since then they've been busy making a name for themselves on the local club scene and around the world.
The roots of GLB run soulfully deep with their multicultural family backgrounds, extending from Spain, Italy and Kenya. The group feels connected to Switzerland and their home towns as it shows in their music - and yet at the same time they are citizens of the world! This cultural mixture is reflected in their songs, which contain diverse stylistic elements and lyrics that address local, national and international themes.
GLB chose the title of their first album very deliberately. "Change" represents the personal development of the three musicians over the previous years, and their experiences are reflected in the messages of the songs: offering criticism without solutions helps no society; pursuing material success cannot be the sole goal of life; respectful treatment of others, chivalry to women as well as general thoughtfulness are conditions for harmonic co-existence.
GLB develops their songs together, though each has his own strengths. Jesus is an inventive lyricist; Marcus Aurelius makes use of his versatile voice; and Ambros is the front man of the group’s live performances.
GLB's upcoming album release "Turn Up" is scheduled in late summer 2016. It is contains elements of pop, rap, hip hop, trap and world music, plus English lyrics. This mixture embodies the spirit of a globalized world with all its opportunities and challenges; it expresses a joie de vivre and inspires the listener both to think and to dance!
