Guilherme "Gui" Nunes is a Portuguese-born singer-songwriter. Weaving together threads of folk, indie, and pop, he creates aural tapestries that illustrate heartbreak, isolation, and love. His latest release, The Archetype, captures a varied, rainbow-like spectrum of emotional intensity. The powerful yet vulnerable vocals on "Come Close", as well as the meditative, softly-treading textures of "A Blight Farewell" highlight the evolution of his sound since UNVEIL. The album is marked by its jangly, bright guitars harmonizing and melting under dark and emotive vocals, and forays into post-rock territory with the 15 minute epic Tara. From a tender expression of humanity and weakness ("Levee"), to a water-themed, metaphorical ballad of abandonment ("Forgotten to the Sea"), and heartbreak ("Awakened"), Guilherme tackles darker subject matters on The Archetype than previously explored.
Guilherme currently resides in Switzerland, where he continues to work on music and express himself through songwriting.
