Gordon Bell & The Sinking Ships have absolutely nothing to do with sailing or maritime persuits. Gordon met Kat and Ray in a bar near a harbour in 2009. They were discussing pastry making techniques. Somehow the conversation drifted into music and owing to the consequences of coincidence, a band was formed.
Gordon Bell has been writing songs since his teens. He uses an old typewriter on a desk next to a beaten up piano to do this. He drinks too much coffee. He is from Glasgow.
Kat Kunz is an insomniac bass player. She's not really into singer songwriter music, but she quite likes Gordon's lyrics. She really likes industrial metal. If she feels like it she'll play the sax, but her mood is like the weather.
Professor Ray Gunn loves bands like Bonnie Prince Billy and Lambchop. His drum skins are all natural. He is a very steady fellow and only skips a beat if asked to.
