Jella is a singer and songwriter from Bern, Switzerland. Her music moves between R&B and Soul, shaped by influences from Afro, Reggae and Dancehall. At the heart of her sound are her warm, soulful voice and honest lyrics, which often begin as entries in her personal journal.
Jella discovered her love for storytelling as a teenager and has used music ever since as a way to turn personal experiences, emotions and stories into songs — creating moments that others can see themselves in.
After reaching the semi-finals of *The Voice of Switzerland* in 2021, she released her debut EP *Love Language*, marking her first steps as an independent artist. Since then, she has continued to release new music regularly, including *Show Yourself*, a song created during a trip to Nigeria together with local producers, which later received a nomination at the Demotape Clinic.
Over the past few years, Jella has also gained more and more experience on stage, performing at festivals such as Gurtenfestival and Lakelive Festival. At the beginning of 2026, her music even took her to Thailand Koh Samui, where she had the opportunity to perform at a reggae festival.
Jella is currently working on new music and continuing to develop her sound. Her next live performance will take place in Montreux on August 19.
