Born in 1984, Jenny McKay grew up in a small town called Adliswil. She has been singing all her life, starting off in the bathtub from the age of just 3 years. At the age of 7, she started playing the accordion, deliberately, and kept taking classes for approximately 9 years. With her improving skills, she joined the local accordion orchestra, where she collected her very first stage experiences. It had her hooked! At the age of 12, she wrote her first real song on her mother's keyboard. In Highschool, Jenny took up guitar lessons and from there started to get more into songwriting and producing music.
Her music influneces range from Robbie Williams back to Janis Joplin. Her own sound is a mix between mainstream Pop, Hip Hop beats (like Amy Winehouse or Christina Aguilera's Back to Basic) and Country music.
With her background, Jenny has created a unique style and has now been asked to play at several locations in Switzerland and abroad. In 2006, she was invited to record at the famous Studio 301 in Cologne, Germany.
At this point in time, she is finishing her courses at University (including Media Studies and Economics) and also works part-time for a PR company, along with several bookings throughout the year.
