The Brütsch brothers, Marc (Drums/Vocals) and Christian Brütsch (Vocals/Guitar), founded the dialect rock band "Spleen" in 1986 when they were only 11 and 16 years old.
In 1990, the band was invited as an attraction to Bierhübeli in Bern, as they already had a solid repertoire filled with many of their own Bernese German songs.
This was followed by performances for the 800th anniversary of Bern and the 700th anniversary of Switzerland in the city of Bern, as well as the release of their first Bernese German studio album, "Sammelsurium."
In 1998, "Spleen" was renamed "Joo Joo Eyeball." The band played over 400 events between 1986 and 2005 and produced two albums with original English compositions: "Only with Love" (2000) and "Recreation" (2003).
With the addition of Jan Liniger (Guitar/Bass) in 2006, a trio named "Klein aber Fein" was formed. The entire repertoire was reworked, and the three musicians mastered the fusion of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, Boogie Woogie, Country, and Jazz.
To be even more flexible in their concerts, they also rehearsed the repertoire in an "unplugged" version. Joo Joo Eyeball performed over 150 concerts between 2006 and 2013.
Two more albums with covers and original songs were produced in the Joo Joo Studio: "Rock 'n' Roll" (2007) and "Get Rhythm" (2010).
Marc Brütsch is an expressive, straightforward, and groovy drummer who also knows how to bring his vocals into the mix. Christian Brütsch, as the songwriter, creates the songs that blend with the covers in their repertoire. In addition to his main instruments, piano and guitar, he also plays several other instruments. Peter Sinzig is a long-time, experienced, and highly versatile double and electric bassist.
