KACIMI's music immerses us in a contemporary and modern interpretation of French sixties pop, combining cinematic, yéyé, beat and poetic influences with psychedelic rhythm and blues, garage rock “n” roll and timeless love ballads that flirt with electronica.
After gaining extensive experience in bands over the last twenty years through numerous albums, groups and concerts, including The Rebels of Tijuana and Le Roi Angus, KACIMI has released several critically acclaimed solo albums since 2015 (Rock & Folk, Rolling Stone, Les Inrockuptibles, Shindig, RTS, FIP, France Inter, KEXP, etc.). These albums have been interspersed with several singles featuring numerous collaborations since 2020 (Lionel Limiñana, Wendy Martinez, Alexis Fugain, Initials MB, Blot, L'Eclair). Kacimi has performed regularly in France, Switzerland and Germany, opening for The Limiñanas and Bertrand Burgalat, among others.
Having composed various pieces of music for series, adverts and events in recent years (Emily in Paris, You're The Worst, Orangina, Cannes Film Festival, etc.), KACIMI runs the label Le Pop Club Records, with which he has released nearly 80 titles (Nick Wheeldon, Le Superhomard, Satellite Jockey, etc.), and specialises in French film soundtracks with vinyl reissues of ‘Coup de Tête’, ‘Les Tontons Flingueurs’, ‘Un Singe en Hiver’ and ‘Le Magnifique’.
