What do you do when you’re a musician who loves a wide variety of music? Take what you love and mold it into an original sound that is all your own.
That is the philosophy that Kae Sea has taken in creating an eclectic blend of pop/rock music. Wrong Side of the Road marks the debut album of this up and coming artist who combines meaningful lyrics and rock inspired rhythms.
Kae Sea is headed up by Kelly Crittenden, an American singer/songwriter. After concentrating on the creation of the music and lyrics for her album, Kelly teamed up with John Woolloff who is responsible for the arrangements of and also played on Wrong Side of the Road.
Lead singer Kelly Crittenden has done a little bit of everything from singing show tunes and jazz to a (very brief) stint in opera. Having this love for many different types of music brings a richness and depth to her songs.
While her music remains pop rock, the influence of blues and jazz is evident. Check out the bluesy guitar solo in the song “Wrong Side of the Road”. You will even find a bit of Ska thrown in from time to time (with a little tribute to Madness as well).
“Wrong Side of the Road” marks the end of one journey of creation and hopefully the beginning of a much longer journey in music.
