(Lady Dawn) Claudette Reid was born on the 11, of July in the yeah 1977. She grow up with her family mother Colette Lawrence, father Terence Reid, grandmather Margrit in Portland Islington (Jam). That s maybe also the reason why she started to be interested in the dominates Ragga. Music was always in her mind, in the age of 12 years she go trough her first performance talent shows in Bony Dong, a famous club in Portland. Of course she wrote all of her songs by herself. With topics between poor people and against the politicians, which she never liked in her life, she try to bring a little bit more justice into this world and to wake up the people.
When she was in her teenage, she worked sometimes in a hotel called blue heaven, after she started to produce new energy for the big love of her life the music in 1997 she received her first engagement in Neuchatel a small town in switzerland.
Slowly and step by step she made herself a name, in the Ragga scene, which was in these days not very famous in switzerland. She have been already all over switzerland, but mostly of the time she performed in Zurich (Rote Fabrik, Volkshaus, Dynamo)and in Basel (Sommercasino, Atlantis, Kaserne, Eventhouse, Sudhaus, Z7). Trough these public appearances she attract attention and has from now the chance to make music with established Ragga and Reggae artist from switzerland everything in front with the Ganglords. In Basel also unforgetable the Ragge Reggae nights with Suggar Daddy in Sommercasino where she have been playing many times.
Some years later, after a hard piece of work and unnumerably hours in the studio, she brought out her first album in the year 2002, it s named the first strike and was fully produced by MC Might, a young rising producer from Bern.
After one year break, she take up again her vision from beeing a Ragga singer.The result can be able to be seen, next year (2004) she will bring out one new song by herself and some featuring songs with MC Rony (Basel) and Jungle P (Geneva). For the future she s willingly to give her whole energy and power to the music. She s now working hard to make good music and become a professional Ragga artist.
