We are Lanes Beatween a music duo from Zurich established in 2016 by Patrick Schneider and Claudia van Acken, a singer with a classical background who formerly studied at SMPV in Zurich

Patrick Schneider began classical studies in violin at the age of 6. He took part in concerts with the Zurich Youth Chamber Orchestra and formed the electronic industrial music project "Millenium" published by Printed Matter Inc. and also as an album with him as a solo artist. He continued producing several projects with TBA Music and worked on sound design for TV and Youth TV Programme audio jingle. Today he continues to study composition and violin jazz improvisation.

Joel Rockman lives in London. After college he went into accountancy and started writing lyrics as escapism from the 9-5.

In our songs we deal with social, critical and contemporary issues and offer lanes/paths between the commerce, power and money orientated "beats" of our society. Our music style is International PopCreative, innovative, sophisticated, good English controversial lyrics, female vocals with violin and now with acoustic guitar. Our philosophy implies that people are always reinventing themselves and growing in relationship with others. Music represents an important means of relationship as do the stories we are used to creating as human beings. Some of them we want to transform by means of an appropriate sound.

Working with a well-known studio in Los Angeles we recently finished Talking Tree which is about the relationship between man and nature.

TalkingTree is the story of a friendship with a tree, the knowledge that is gained from being together and the mystery of connectedness that arises through contact with each other. The basic ability and quality of human beings to work together synergistically has to find its way to a connectedness with nature. Talking Tree is the way to convey this theme in a musical way.
