Life As Hyslop is a indie rock trio from Thun, composed of Crush, Rick, and Luke. The band has existed as a trio since March 2021. Previously, Life As Hyslop operated as a duo consisting of two brothers, Luke and Crush, who released two albums. Their debut album "Is It This" was released in 2017, followed by their second album "From A To Be" in February 2020.
With the arrival of bassist Rick, the band's sound changed significantly, shifting from electrorock to an authentic rock trio style. Their new album "Bubble," released in March 2023, returns more closely to the style of their debut album "Is It This" from 2017. Rick's fresh bass sound perfectly complements the new songs and adds an extra dimension to their musicality.
Life As Hyslop writes songs about various life situations and current events, whether personal or societal. The band considers it important to analyze the events of life and the world in their songs, asking questions to find answers. Their lyrics invite reflection, while their music encourages attentive listening.
Life As Hyslop stands for this principle: "Stay authentic and don't pretend to be something you're not!"
