Lik and Dak is a group that has been nursed by hip hop culture and who have been living in Switzerland for several years. Of Spanish origin, the two rappers started break dancing at an early age in Neuchâtel before naturally being driven to rap and music beats. As of that time, from mix tapes to live performances, Lik and Dak have not ceased to evolve within their style and later associated themselves with the Moroccan producer M. Talmi.
The mix between Latin and African musical influences as well as the touch of electronic music produced by M. Talmi has shaped their music into becoming an inspiration to party and to be entertained. It’s a highly vitamin-filled cocktail that they have coined as “Popcream music”.
The first single under the name of Lik and Dak Fiesta (Mouvance Records) was an immediate success in the UK, entering the top 10 in the club charts with multiple radio transmissions such as on BBC Radio 1. The track was signed to multiple dance labels worldwide such as Ego, Plantworks, Sony Music, D-Noy, Teta, Magic and Universal music. Various remixes support this first release, such as a remix by Karmin Shiff, Stereo Palma and Igor Blaska (with whom Lik and Dak toured the Swiss music festivals from 2011 to 2012.) A music video for this single was shot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. As a successful collaboration leads to another, Lik and Dak released a second single in May 2012 entitled Baila Morena (Oye Z****A) (Ego Italy) with the Italian DJ Karmin Shiff. This release was a success and rose in the charts in Italy, Russia, Mexico and Estonia. Since then, Lik and Dak have started working again, multiplying their studio hours to present us their future album, from which several new tracks are currently in production such as Luna and Special Day. Lik and Dak can also be heard in radios with Oye feat Kmila and their last single.
For the summer 2017, the first bomb is launched: Lik and Dak are releasing their new single "Luna" with a new and exciting music video.
