Lomission is an electronic music trio from Zurich, formed in early 2017. Three friends with a passion for music started jamming around and experimenting with electronic music. Through their self organised parties and other gigs they gained more live experience and evolved their sound continuously.
With Synthesizers, Drum Machines, Electric Guitar and lots of self-taken Samples, Lomission creates music intuitionally. The results range from organic techno to psychedelic electronic rock.
Following their release of the Novalis EP, Lomission has taken a more edgy and harder approach for their upcoming "Research / Odyssey" EP, where they draw inspiration from breakbeat and glitchy experimental music for "Research" and go on a trans-genre journey with groovy, jazzy and dub parts on "Odyssey". LOMISSION is back from the digital abyss and has dug up some lost gems of lockdown madness. assembled in the onerous months of the year 2020, these musical pieces bespeak the restlessness of fast-paced genre hopping - admittedly - within the inimitable realms of lomission's sonic cosmos.
demons of funkiness have possessed our beloved lomission baddis and find their voice in stuttering breaks, squeaking synths staccatos, or barking guitars. of course, catchy basslines, driving guitars, smashing rhythms, and lulling chords are not an omission. could this be jazz? doubt it, it's just LOMISSION.
