Lone Assembly is a quartet from Geneva (CH) blending an 80’s sheen of romantic and decadent noir-tinged new wave / synthpop with cold shadowplays of gloomy post-punk.
Formed by Raphaël Bressler on vocals and keyboards, Glenn Le Meur on guitar, Jim Bodeman on bass and Romain Segu on drums, the band unveiled their debut EP “That Never Happened” on April 19, 2024. As seen and heard on 24 heures, RTS-Couleur 3, Radio Vostok and various websites such as White Light // White Heat, the album is a mirror of unfinished mourning in five acts, with influences from Joy Division, The Sisters Of Mercy, Depeche Mode and Editors.
Steady rhythms and lead bass lines support deep, powerful vocals sublimated by reverberating guitar notes, all wrapped up in a gothic atmosphere that naturally emanates from the Geneva-based band, and can be felt in their visuals, where nothing is left to chance.
