Like many children in Switzerland, I was given a second first name. At that time, family names of mothers would disappear with marriage. Women would lose their identity when getting married. Lucien Schlatter is a tribute to this shadow identity, the ghost of my creativity, the musician or artist hidden inside all of us.
From the early days of tinkling the ivories as a child to the energetic beats of teenage drumming, my musical journey has been a wild ride. Starting out in bands, my passion for music never waned, even as life led me to juggle parenthood and a corporate career.
Swapping the stage for the studio in 2015, I discovered a new groove behind the console, growing as a mix engineer.
I have been fortunate to be a teenager during the 90s. My music is a blend of this amazing period, the birth of many new styles of music. My head is full of synth-pop, old school hip hop, grunge, metal, and the dawn of electronic music. This eclectic mix shapes my sound, characterized by intricate rhythms, lush soundscapes, and melodies that tug at your heartstrings. Drawing from these diverse genres, I create tracks known for their atmospheric depth and innovative production techniques. Whether it’s a pulsating beat or a serene melody, I strive to evoke emotions.
When I'm not in the studio, you might find me reminiscing about the good old days of cassette tapes and dial-up internet, or playfully arguing with my kids about why my music recollection is undeniably superior.
