Since 2016, Lucrezia Aura has been performing her own musical compositions, singing in the Valposchiavo dialect. She was active for several years as an amateur musician, during which time she founded the Valposchiavo band ‘Alba’ with Marco Baumann. Since 2024, Lucrezia has been performing solo and as a duo with Laurin Schaub. In 2026, she completed a further education CAS at the HKB in music composition, technology and production.
When composing her pieces, Lucrezia draws inspiration from her life story and the various moods associated with changes in her life. Her native valley, a remote region of Italian-speaking Switzerland, and its local language – a Valposchiavo dialect – play an important role in shaping her identity and lend a unique flavour to her songs
In 2019, Lucrezia became a mother and faced motherhood without the support of her child’s father. This experience affected her deeply and inspired her musically. Composition and music thus became a means of expression and an outlet, as well as a source of comfort. This journey led her to seek independence and empowerment, both as a mother and as an artist.
