Biography
LyOsun is a one-man band. It is 29-year-old Raphaël Litzistorf’s "Pop-Soul-Tribal" project.
His instruments: the Genevan uses a looper, alongside his guitars, a keyboard, a pad and his smoky voice.
His inspiration: his travels from South Africa to Latin America, from Canada to Asia. Also, the ecological and
social crisis of a world that is running out of steam.
With a blues-folk style mixed with and inspired by ethnic elements, LyOsun creates a’road-trip’ atmosphere.
Ample and poignant on record, the songs are feverish and dynamic when performed live.
The result of adventures across the globe, his debut album The Missing Part, was released in 2018. In 11 self-
composed tracks played solo, LyOsun showed he was in a class of his own.
A few months after the release of the indie-tronic "Homesick", his career continued to blossom with a new
single: "What About Now" (January 2020). More committed, more worried, it reflects the turmoil of a generation of 25-30 year olds, faced with an
exhausted world.
In LyOsun, they have an outstanding figurehead.
