It would be lovely if our thoughts could be poured out like coffee from a Moka pot.
Depicting thoughts as balls of wool in a mocha pot (see the cover of the first EP) is, of course, a metaphor for the thoughts that unintentionally linger. MAGIC MONDAY's music plays with this mental viscosity. The pleasantly melancholy voice, the warm trumpet lines and the fresh guitar pop were tinkered with over countless hours of rehearsals until the band's own unmistakable sound was created - Mondaypop. We don't create hymns for a good start to the week. We play on the normal - sometimes somewhat tough - waking up - at the beginning of the week.
After the first EP, which was recorded with drums, MAGIC MONDAY decided to refine their music in an acoustic trio setting. If you imagine triphop without beats, you get very close to the sound MAGIC MONDAY is currently developing.
We are working hard on new songs. These can only be heard live so far - so be sure to come to one of our live concerts!
