"This music connects you with the earth. With the essence of nature. It seems to emerge from the same source that life stems from. It is as if we went back to the origins of the world through Malin’s voice and her music." Ana Alcoela, writer
Malin was born in Switzerland in 1990. She has been singing and playing the cello, guitar,
piano and various percussion instruments since childhood. She studied music & movement and jazz singing at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with Lauren Newton, among others, and then obtained a master's degree in vocal improvisation at the Basel Music Academy with Fred Frith.
Her musical work is influenced by her travels around the world. She listens to the voices of different cultures and traditions, which serve as a source of inspiration for her music and open doors to new worlds of sound. This creates bridges between people, cultures and hearts.
Malin finds her greatest inspiration in nature, that infinite source of magic and life. Inspired by nature and its sounds, she sings, improvises and composes her songs. They tell of the sun and the moon, the dancing wind, the sound of water and the flow of life. They are songs for the earth, reminding us that we are all one. Malin often improvises freely and creates new melodies and soundscapes that emerge from the moment, making each concert a unique sound experience.
Her voice is like a gentle river that flows through people's hearts and connects them to a deep, universal truth. It carries a strength that is reminiscent of the roots of the earth. With her music, Malin wants to bring light into the world - a light that unfolds in healing sounds and frequencies. Her intention is to touch and inspire people, offering them moments of peace and deep connection in which time seems to stand still.
