MAR.DI – Music like a day by the sea. With their vintage sunshine pop, the four guys invite listeners to dream of distant places – whether of destinations, feelings, longings or memories. For MAR.DI themselves, it feels like a peaceful day by the sea: a warm breeze on your skin, the sun in the sky and an ice cream in your hand – ideally a Coco Limón combo.
But it’s not all postcard-perfect idyll. The band from Zurich and Graubünden can also go deeper, heavier and less colourful. After all, a day by the sea can mean many things – true to the motto: anything goes, nothing is a must.
Following their first EP, White Lies (released under the name “Chasing Anna”), which was accompanied by various live performances, radio airplay (SRF3, Radio Swiss Pop, RTR, Munot, TOP, etc.), a live session (4TNG) and a TV appearance (TV Südostschweiz), the Zurich-based band is now following up with their second EP, Coco Limón. The singles released so far have already generated a response: in addition to radio plays and interviews, the band won the Lakelive Stage Contest, securing themselves a slot at the Lakelive Openair in Biel.
