Musical, inspired, and passionate – that’s how she sees and feels herself.
Marlin was born and raised in Switzerland, with roots in Guinea and Hungary. Her diverse background sparked an early interest in music and performance. Introduced by her father, she discovered R&B, hip-hop, reggae, and rap from the '90s and 2000s at a young age. Influences like Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Usher, and Sido shaped her musical taste. As a teenager, she was already writing lyrics, taking dance classes, singing in choirs, and soon decided to pursue a career as a singer.
In 2019, she released her first EP 688 as part of the duo “Ozyah” with her longtime friend and producer Gabiga. This led to her first performances in Zurich, Aarau, and Baden. Since releasing her solo single More (2022), Marlin has been writing music with Gabiga (known for work with Naomi Lareine, Danitsa, Benjamin Amaru), creating songs that evoke deep emotion. Her lyrics are honest and vulnerable, her sound authentic – qualities that earned her airplay on SRF 3, SRF Virus, Couleur 3, RTS La 1ère, and Global Soul Radio.
In 2024, Marlin was selected for the Mountain Academy at Zermatt Unplugged and the prestigious Montreux Jazz Residency. Her debut EP New Her (February 2025) reflects on a toxic relationship and her journey back to herself. The project also led to her being named SRF 3 Best Talent in April. Produced by Gabiga, the EP blends R&B and pop, inspired by artists such as Masego, Anderson .Paak, Greentea Peng, and Jorja Smith.
Her new single "Sunshine" will be released on October 24th.
