In 2026, Maroo opens a new chapter and, for the first time, places his own sound at the center of his work which he developed and refined over many years. His music is raw, fast, and hypnotic: electronic dance music with an urban hip-hop aesthetic, a touch of nostalgia, and clear roots in the underground.
After more than ten years as a DJ in the Swiss music scene, with performances at events such as Openair Frauenfeld and Big Air Chur, Maroo is deliberately moving away from the classic DJ format. The album planned for release at the end of 2026 brings together all of his musical influences in their most authentic form to date.
With a live setup consisting of drum machines, synthesizers, and Ableton, his performances are designed to change from show to show, more direct, more alive, and more unique than pure DJing, marking a consistent step toward an independent live identity.
