In 2026, Maroo opens a new chapter. With the first single :60, he marks the beginning of what is to come and, for the first time, places his own sound, shaped over many years, firmly at the center. His music is raw, fast and hypnotic. Electronic dance music with an urban hip hop aesthetic, a touch of nostalgia and clear roots in the underground.
After more than ten years as a DJ in the Swiss music scene, with performances including Openair Frauenfeld and Big Air Chur, Maroo increasingly and consciously moves away from the classic DJ format. The album planned for the end of 2026 brings together all of his musical influences in their clearest form to date.
With a live setup consisting of drum machine, synthesizers and Ableton, he creates performances designed to evolve from show to show. More direct, more alive and more unique than pure DJing, and a consistent step toward an independent live identity.
