Matheus Fonseca is a Brazilian artist known for his genre-blending approach, mixing bossa nova, bolero, reggae and jazz with global influences. A composer at heart, Matheus hails from Rio de Janeiro, but his music reflects his diverse experiences in various countries around the world. In 2023, he won the Luiz Melodia Award for Afro-Brazilian Music with “A Raiz” and, in 2024, he came second in the Brazilian National Song Festival with “Rua A (Siricutico)”.
His latest album, Latitude Zero (Vol. 1), recorded in Quito - Ecuador, mixes Brazilian rhythms with a sophisticated and experimental sound. Matheus' work is a constant exploration of new sonic territories, driven by his open-minded spirit and multicultural background.
