Mercee is a singer, songwriter, and artist from Zurich, whose Cuban-Italian roots shape her music. The 26-year-old grew up multilingual and developed a deep connection to music and rhythm at an early age. Inspired by artists like Amy Winehouse, Frank Ocean, and Celia Cruz, she blends various styles to create a unique sound that moves effortlessly between RnB, Latin, Indie, and Pop.
In 2020, Mercee was named SRF 3 Best Talent of the Month in August and highlighted as an Artist to Watch by the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. She also received her first radio play on BBC 1.
With her EP "Venganza", Mercee once again showcases her versatility. Her songs tell stories of life’s ups and downs — about love, loss, and new beginnings — always delivered with depth and emotion. "A veces el amor duele, es cierto" ("Sometimes love hurts, it's true") is a recurring line in her music, reflecting the unexpected turns of life and relationships.
Mercee has performed at major festivals such as Openair Frauenfeld, Radar Festival, and Luzern Live. She has also opened for renowned international acts like the Gipsy Kings and Easy Life.
Looking ahead to 2025, new singles are already in the pipeline.
