Mollusca knows how to craft a great song: the young musicians mix catchy pop hits with a rock-infused sound. The pop-rock of this emerging band from Baden is both danceable and high-energy, while not missing out on emotional depth. Since their debut in 2021, the band has been touring all over Switzerland, performing at home at the Blues Festival in Baden and at the country's largest student festival, the ESF in Zurich. Two single releases ("Worry Again" and "song for") and lineup changes ensued. At Badenfahrt 2023, one of Switzerland's largest events, Mollusca performed on the main stage on Saturday night. The year 2023 culminated in another success for the band: Mollusca secured victory at the regionally acclaimed BandX-northwestern Contest.
Their new single "Just Friends" invites fans on a hot late night drive through a potential relationship that never was. The song also initiates a new era for the band, leaving their previous indie sound behind them and stepping into an edgier rock image. Dressed to impress and with an album of hits on the way, Mollusca guarantees to turn heads in 2024.
