Moondawn is an innovative Swiss band that plays a blend of modern Rock and Metal. Their music contains heavy guitars, varied grooves, a lead female voice and catchy exciting melodies as well as beautiful ballads with progressive influences that grab your attention right away.
The Band was originally formed in autumn 2001 by Michael Mueller (guitar), Peter Wuergler (guitar) and Pascal Hirt (drums). After two years of extensive searching, the line up was finally completed with Iris Oester (vox & transverse flute) and Christof Hasler (bassguitar). Since their debut concert in spring 2004 at "Z7 Pratteln", the band has played on several stages in the whole of Switzerland.
In 2007 Moondawn released its first full length album "through leaves and ashes", an intriguing and varied 12 song compilation.
