The duo Moss & Murmur consists singer and guitarist Sibylle Erb and pianist Kilian Schmucki, who met while studying music at the Bern University of the Arts and have been close friends ever since. They have been working on their joint project, Moss & Murmur, since 2023.
They describe their duo’s musical style as melancholic indie-folk. It is a blend of composed music and improvisation that, with carefully crafted lyrics, emphasizes an authentic singer-songwriter intimacy. Their debut album, “Early Songs,” was released in June 2026.
Moss & Murmur’s debut album, “Early Songs,” is both melancholic and playful—inspired by an inner garden characterized by growth, care, and self-cultivation.
With an honest approach and no fear of vulnerability, Moss & Murmur’s music invites listeners to celebrate the beauty of imperfection and practice letting go.
