NAKED in ENGLISH CLASS are Olifr M. Guz (Die Aeronauten) and Taranja Wu (Ruby Amp). Guz lives in a cave and Taranja Wu sleeps in a coffin.
Their music is pounding electro blues: relentless hammering, sawing guitars, steaming machine sounds. Embedded within are two voices, sounding like ABBA in hell accompanied by Bo Diddley on a rusty synthesizer.
The lyrics deal with murder, manslaughter and rockets and life in the stone age. Go Cat Go!
Their third album "SELFING" will be released in May 2018 by Ikarus Records. On their new album NAKED in ENGLISH CLASS continue to pursue the path of electronic garage rock. Quotes by Wild Billy Childish, Sonics and Vince Taylor are shaken up to create new and obscure sound experiences. What emerges from this is gloomy optimism, meticulous romanticism and cheerful destructive mania. NAKED in ENGLISH CLASS turn innocent daydreaming into somber opportunities.
NAKED in ENGLISH CLASS came together in 2015. Since then Taranja Wu and Olifr M. Guz have produced the albums "Counterfactuals" (2016) and "Othering" (2017) and played concerts all over Switzerland.
