NEUHAUS (CH)
Neuhaus is the solo project of Swiss musician Yves Neuhaus. His pieces, some of which have a neo-classical feel, always circle around loops, which the multi-instrumentalist builds up to an impressive size with violin, double bass, synthesizer, drum computer, percussion and various effects.
During his live performances, Neuhaus uses a sophisticated system of his instruments, a loop station and electronics to constantly rebuild his music and fascinate the audience with a gripping combination of composition and improvisation.
2019/2020: „Scapes & Spaces, Volume 1 & 2“
The release of the two albums ‘Scapes & Spaces Volume 1 & Volume 2’ led to some success on playlists and blogs. The track ‘Solun’ was used at the Czech National Theatre in Brno for the ballet choreography ‘Gaslight’ and has been streamed 167289 times on Spotify to date. Other tracks have been placed as ‘production music’ in Swiss television programmes (SRF Einstein, SRF Puls).
Neuhaus' live performances take place in a wide variety of venues. His atmospheric instrumental music is appreciated in small theatres or clubs, but also at readings, jazz, psytrance or literature festivals.
2022: “Dreaming with Wolves - Dancing with Bears” (04.11.2022)
Neuhaus released his third album in autumn 22. The music on it is still a mixture of analogue, classical string sounds with electronic sounds and beats. Like ‘Solun’, the track ‘Eos’ made it onto a major Spotify playlist.
2022 - 2024: Concerts, production music, new tracks
Since the release of his last album, Neuhaus has been able to play several concerts in Switzerland, despite his music being a niche product. He has also contributed music tracks to film productions. In June 2025, Neuhaus digitally released an EP entitled ‘Soundtracks 2024’ featuring four pieces from his film music oeuvre.
2026: ‘Wogen III’
Composition and production for the new album ‘Wogen III’ began in spring 2024. The album is scheduled for release in early 2026.
