The Origin
Born in 1981, in a humble home of African Religion, Luano Smith (vocals) grew up in the music and the forces of nature coming of the Orishas. At age three he was playing drums and other percussion instruments in religious festivities.
Over the years was improved in music, making new friends and participating with bands of varying styles.
Even happy to be musicians and be doing what you love, felt a void in his life, he knew he wanted to have their own "brothers walk," people of faith, warriors like him and finally put together a band with these.
In 2003, he was invited to Luano percussion with a band on the beach in Santa Teresa, Rio Grande do Sul coast, the band had closed shows for a period of two weeks.
On a Sunday afternoon, when the lifeguards have enclosed their work shift, Luano swam at the beach, when suddenly der was pulled by an undertow, drowning could not be emerged when he lacked the forces dipped, then saw Yemanja, "the queen of the sea", surrounded by her long hair she pulled him up by the hair and told him that was not the time to give up, the dream was to come and walk to begin, and he fainted.
Upon waking he saw a lifeguard at his side amid the crowd, it said: - Dude, you're born again, since I was supposed to be home, but the beauty of the sea at the beach today held me until later.
From that moment began to thank for being alive with the greeting used in their religion to Yemanja, "Omi Odo Odoyá"
At that moment Luano understood that the forces of nature you prestige since birth, and I should do something to protect nature as well.
And it was with this force that nature brought him special people, with different backgrounds, but with the same dream, to form a band that takes the love and respect nature, and words of confidence to pass people who hear good vibes.

Reggae in the mind and heart.
With musical influences from Bob Marly, the band search this genre a political peace and a way to explain to people who need a goal to follow their lives. The Reggae here in the South is still misunderstood medium, it is not seen as a song, as in São Luis do Maranhão there is already a large part of Reggae, and it is known as "The Brazilian Jamaica".
Knowing that people identify listening music, Reggae Odoiá behind lyrics that speak of daily life, feelings, nature, dreams, the difficulty in which we live and the daily struggle against drugs. Dialoguing with people in situations of hardship, trying to ease their suffering and transform that moment into happiness.
To have peace you need to get close to the violence and modify it.
The impossible is done on time, takes a little miracle.
