Olga Barben, Spinto soprano, was born on March 23, 1977 in Kiev, Ukraine. Passionate about classical music for as long as she can remember, she entered a music studio at the age of 5 to learn to play the piano.
Deeply touched by the classical music of Mozart and Bach, she began to learn the works of these virtuoso composers at the age of 7.
At the age of 12 she entered the Dmitri Shostakovich Conservatory of Music in Kiev where she took lessons to develop her potential and later passed her entrance exams.
She will study at the University of Culture and Arts and will learn to sing opera at the Faculty of Academic Singing, she will participate in many concerts and competitions of classical music as her participation in the "1st Online Classical Voice Competition SOI Scuola dell'Opera Italiana Fiorenza Cedolins", where she sings "My heart opens to your voice" from the opera "Samson and Dalila".
"For me," says Olga Barben, "singing is like breathing, living in joy, love and absolute harmony. Music has always been a part of Olga's life and is an indispensable component of who she is.
2023 marks the release of her new single "I'm Alive", accompanied by a documentary showing the reality of the war in Ukraine. The singer traveled to Ukraine during the war to document the events and take pictures. She also filmed the video of her song on location, in the streets of Kiev and Irpin.
The documentary "Ukraine in Me" will be available from May 30 on video streaming platforms, while the single "I'm Alive" will be available on music streaming platforms and social networks.
