ONE LUNAR DAY’s soon to be released debut concept album «leave.» offers a lonely, cinematic journey full of lost dreams, hopes and suppressed fears, with just a hint of Lovecraftian sci-fi-horror. A journey which seems to inevitably lead into madness, caught between stagnation and propulsion.
Completely self-written, -recorded and -produced, the album follows a space farer taking their leave into uncertainty, continuously facing multi-layered psychological struggles. It poses the question: what happens when distance and isolation are neither bearable nor escapable, and the mind starts filling the silence on its own terms?
Departure becomes drift. Drift becomes something worse.
Across 10 featured album tracks, ONE LUNAR DAY is about to build an enthralling auditive experience that spins a thematic web both lyrically and musically. Over a total time of four years, the group meticulously handcrafted every aspect of their upcoming full-length record.
The six-piece band from Switzerland was founded by drummer Dave Wieser in spring 2022 and skilfully combines modern progressive metal with cinematic epicness, melodic vocal lines, heavy djent riffs and crushing vulnerability.
Notably and still without any released material, ONE LUNAR DAY was selected by a jury of industry experts to perform at Rock4Future 2024, Switzerland's second ever showcase festival for heavy music.
